First off.. compared to my fellow cardchart peers I'm a newbie. I'm having a hard time understanding pot odds; by that I mean I can't change the ratio in my head to a denomination in chips, or cash value either. I'm ashamed to say I have a hard time learning or understanding math. ( May require multiple posts) I'm also curious if pot odds matter in tournament play, and if so how much? Does strategy differ? I'm genuinely curious so u can learn. Please hold the hate...

It may not differ, but the effectiveness ranges. I think using pot odds is WAY more effective in a cash game verses a tournament because you can find yourself in the same spots over and over, even in the same session, whereas if you do not play a LOT of tournaments pot odds diminish in value because you may not find yourself in the same spots enough to justify using them
