Pot odds is the relationship between the money in the pot and the price of the bet you must pay to make a call. If there is $100 in the pot and it costs you $20 to make the call, the pot odds are 5/1. Outs are the unseen cards remaining in the deck that will complete or improve your hand to make it the winning one, expressed as odds. If your hole cards are suited and two of the same suit turn up in the flop, the odds of you making a flush are 4/1 (4.22) on the turn and 4/1 (4.11) on the river. You know five cards of the 52, leaving 47 unknown, of these 9 will make your flush and 38 will not. The odds are 38/9 or roughly 4/1. Some hands like a four card flushes and a four card open ended straights are fairly common. Other hands are less common and will make you thing a little to get it right

How are pot odds and hand odds used in relation to each other?

How will know in which situations I should call or I should fold when I know both of my odds?

Put simply, if the pot odds are greater than your hand odds, it is a value bet, and you should stay in the pot.

You mean it's a profitable call, not value bet ;)

well honestly if the best response you can give is "whatever" then im definitely tempted to push this one as far as i could!!!!
do you know the difference between value bet and profitable call?
do you know what is value bet?
can you explain to me what are the reasons for betting?

sorry but i do have a problem when a person shows up on the forum, tries to give advises and teach people but doesn't like to see that his post are questioned or are a subject of discussion!

Push away my little friend, push away It's a question of terminology. There is a subtle difference between valuable and profitable that may have escaped you. A hand that has good odds against the pot can be of good value, my definition, but will only be profitable at the showdown whether or not it wins or loses.
You DO seem to have a problem and not only with forum replies, Do you get upset easily? Do you suffer from road rage? Have you had any severe headaches? Have you sought professional help for your problem? Rather that mouth off, is it not better to give your version of how you see it, than giving a sarcastic reply
I don't get upset with replies to my post. Look back up and try and find where I did. And don't bandy words with me

A value bet and a profitable call are 2 different things.

Ok, my Dunning Kruger challenged friend, ill take the bite here...

First of all, its a question of terminology as much as trips and sets are the same, hopefully, you dont believe that too, dont you?
will skip the keyboard warrior rhetorical questions and jump right to the part where you want me to point where you got upset in your posts to my comment about value bet and profitable call you didnt thought of taking it as a joke or if you took it seriously you could've jump to an explanation of why you think its the same thing, replying with whatever seems like you dont wanna involve in a discussion that you started with creating a thread? Wasnt that the reason you started the thread, to discuss poker??? Or you just wanted to drop random info?

PS Of course I believe that trips and sets are the same.
Everybody and their dog knows that they are the same. Both are three of a kind, aren't they?
While they are the same they are not equal in play, and we both know the difference, don't we?
Be lucky
