is calling with a flush draw on the flop with 3:1 pot odds is profitable?
hero: Jh 10h villain: Ad 8d

flop: Ah 2h 7c

pot: 10$
villain bet: 5$

so is it profitable to call?

when using The Rule Of 4 And 2 the odds of getting the flush is 18%.

Yes its going to be a profitable call you have to consider a few things:
1. I think you accidentally multiplied your 9 outs by 2 instead of 4, your odds of improving to a flush are 36% by the river.

Other reasons you can call/raise:
You have a BDSD (back door straight draw)
You have some showdown value if you hit a J or 10

Reasons to play cautiously but certainly never to fold in this spot:

You have to consider reverse implied odds (odds that you make your hand and get totally ****ed): If you make a flush will you ever fold if the board pairs? Are you >300bb deep?
In these spots you may want to avoid drawing to hands that aren't the nuts if you know you'll have a hard time laying them down.

For example things that could really give you a hard time:
10 or J on the turn and villan bets the pot--now you're in a shitty spot.

also aside from the board pairing if it doesn't pair you can lose to and 2 suited hands containing a Q or K.

So....in the end always call/raise in this spot but do keep these things in mind.

is it correct to consider ur equity as 25% instead of 18% because is not all in on the flop and u r calling to see the turn only and u don't know how much he will bet for u to see the river.

of course ill take consider of the reverse implied odds...

but my main issue is the flop odds when there's no all in and I have to calculate the odds, I use the rule of 4 and 2..

I know when all in and ill see the river I multiply by 4 but when only raise I think I have to multiply by 2 because I will only see the turn and on the turn there's another bet..

so is it correct to multiply by 2 not by 4 because is not all in on the flop ?

thank you for your reply and sorry for my bad English.
