I'm curious to see how people feel about playing range in pot limit Omaha. I have trouble deciding if certain hands have value I cant see. In fact I've been more successful playing Omaha because I usually just play duel suited connectors that split a straight range by four cards. However I've noticed 3 of a kind or better seems to be the rule. Any thoughts?

Hard to say, do not play with hands 38JK unsuited. But play with a pair connectors, some stripes, for example 7844, 910JQ, QQ44. Remember Omaha basically strong combination.

If your looking for some basics like hand selection Jeff Hawg's book on PLO, he has some more advanced ones as well which I havn't picked up yet but his older one has a main focus on hand selection and positions for such hands.

In general though you want the four cards to be able to work together, which is why wraps are so strong like 789T, even gaps in the wraps could make it a hand to provide more outs depending on the flop like 569T if a 78 shows up on the flop but you want the gap to be closer to the bottom of the wrap than the top for better drawing to the nuts without being 2nd best....so 589T over 567T just based on gap.

I'm sure there are lots of other resources around as avicktor has pointed out one.

Just remember its a drawing game so make sure your drawing to the nut hands and not the 2nd nut's and if you don't have nuts its pretty probable someone else does especially when your talking the lower stakes where its mainly going to be 1st level thinking

Its a drawing game and so have to be aware of those flush and straight draws.

Have to be cautious and on the defensive if you dont have the nuts or the 2nd nuts.

This is definitely a game I want to start to learn as I was playing for play money earlier and actually enjoying trying to think about what hands I actually have and what hands they might have. Any more resources would be amazing!

Thanks for another source. I've definitely lost on the second nuts my fair share of hands. I usually play low stakes aswell. Ant tips on pre flop raising
