Since we are in the year 2010 I wanted to post a 2010 post instead of the usual 2K post :)

I post in the learning forum because I think that no matter what level we are playing at and no mater how well we are doing there is always room to learn.

I have learned a lot since joining CC I have learned that being more aggressive is an advantage even though at first it is hard to accept. I have learned that downswings are a normal part of the game even though it feels like they only happen to you.

I am a break even player. I have never been able to cross over into the realm of winning. The reason post 2010 and year 2010 are so important is because this is the year that all of that changes for me.

Earlier this year I almost quit playing forever but thanks to CC members I stuck it out and learned more about the game I love instead of giving up on it.

I want to say thanks to CC for making me a better player and I want to say to anyone that is frustrated with the game that they should look deeper into how to make adjustments that will help them improve at what they are doing. The rules that we get from books will most often not apply at these lower levels but they are constantly helping us to become better players and to prepare for the day that we can sit with the best and call ourselves pros.

One can dream anyway!

Thanks CC and to all of it's members. Too many people to name but if we have spoken in PMs or off the forum entirely I probably mean you.

First of all, how do you quote just a piece of a post? I copied and pasted this.

Anyway KM, good post and I am about the same as you wrote. I just can't make the big score, or stay consistent. I figured it out roughly the other day and since I started playing again in June, I've made about $1 an hour playing between FT and PS, not enough.

But I feel I have also learned a lot at this site, especially in the area of NL holdem, specifically positional and mzone play. I'm cashing in MTT's more regularly and feel I'm getting closer to the big one !

You hit the quote button and remove all the parts you don't want. Or you could copy n paste and put the QUOTE tags around it and QUOTE=nameofpersonquoting to have it say who you are quoting.

First of all, how do you quote just a piece of a post?

Or I guess you could write whatever you want in this part said:

OP, good for you for sticking to it. My friend that got me into playing online poker recently pretty much quit, even though he was a winning player, albeit not huge amounts.

Thanks you guys. I wrote up a few different posts and this one just seemed to fit me best.

I am glad to be a part of a great community of players and also happy I did stick with playing.

The key to this post for me is not so much the winning but more learning about the adjustments. Once I do that the winning will just happen.
