Lets say there are 9 players at the table you are at, and you are say on the button, all players behind you fold, it's you, SB, and BB, is this statistically the same as playing against 2 other players? or does the fact that 6 other people folded their hands tell you that the two remaining players are more likely to have a better hand?

i know a lot of them could have had A2, A4, KJ, and other unplayable hands in that position, so they could be folding the good cards too. my guess is that it's the same statistically as playing against 2 players at that point, but i dont know.

Their hands will be a little better on average but their position is terrible and they'll fold a lot and weak players will generally play even worse from the blinds so you're in a great situation and should be betting very frequently.

No, they are likely to have two random cards. Who knows what was folded before it got to you. Its possible all the aces have been folded and a couple of other face cards. The other thing is it doesn't matter that much. Steal the blinds until you get played back at, then try it again just to makes sure. Big money to be made in blind stealing.

:)

I think that you should always belive in your cards and yourself, at this point when just are on the button and sb and bb has random cards that you dont have any sucpission about there cards you should raise 3times (depends) if your deep stacked or not. if you make 3times raise they should fold with bad hands and then play with decent hands. Allways put pressure on your opponent and bet the pot, which will make them unsure and probably will fold. Players allways imagine that there opponents has better cards then you self, atleast in tournaments when they're playing for something which makes them less aggresive. hope u see what i mean:)

Take care

they are more likely to have slightly better hands but as said you have position and should be abusing players in the blinds who will fold or flat a lot.

I raise almost 50% of my open buttons because I want people to be playing raised pots out of position against me. I'm quite profitable from the button, as most people should be.
