polarized ranges ?

I feel like an idiot but lately I keep running into video and forum discussions about polarized ranges in certain situations and I don't know what they are.

Help oh Cardschat gurus.

PS I'm guessing its not a big deal in the micros?

I do not really qualify to explain this to you lol, but if you just do a little bit of searching online, you will find a lot of info about it, and have you searched this forum?

It might be related to adjust your play depending on the kind of table you're facing off....

Tight table, be loose ( increase your hand range )
Loose table, tight up ( lower your hand range )
