1. Do not play poker for fun. Just play poker to make money.

2. Do not play against good players. No matter how you won the last hand or how angry you are. What you have to do is find bad players. There are hundreds of pages of poker, so try to avoid challenges and played with easy players to win.

3. Never ever play with money you can not afford to lose. First, because you play a different way than you'd be playing if you're playing with money that you could afford to lose you. Always think that once put money on the table, is no longer yours. Also keep in mind that your opponents are your customers and who of course want your money.

4. Never ever play poker pissed off. So if you had an argument with your girlfriend, boss or friends and you realize that you're pissed off, as I said before, never play poker. You'll play badly and eventually lose all the money. Sure you can get lucky and get good flops, but the tendency is to lose everything because your brain what it claims is more pissed off.

5. Another thing that almost no one says and almost can not read any of the books available (as the pros who write are partners websites) poker is that when you play poker in a casino have to focus on your game, your opponents and as is the table. But nobody says that when you play poker online not only to focus exactly the same as if you were playing in a real casino, but also know the type of software that the site uses. When I refer to software I not mean if it's nice or if you like the lobby. I mean that software with AA's will earn 90% of the time and others with AA's lose 90% of the time. But still poker website each have their rules and regulations.

My only question is how do you know who are the good players and who are bad players? Do you just open a table and look at the players on a table, or do you take a seat and figure that out in a few rounds. In my opinion, it's better to play good players in order better my own game. But don't fool yourself, those bad players win too. I don't care who is at the table, because I don't have the time to figure out who is who if I'm going to put most of my attention on my cards and the board. GL to you

1st bold do not play poker for fun ONLY PLAY FOR MONEY

that statement is about as bad of advice as you could find

PLAY poker cause you love it and money will follow. Play poker only to make money and you will at times get crushing soul wrenching losses.

2nd bold if the first statement was bad or very arguable this second bold is way out in left field. I give this the worst advice ive heard in a long time. THE only way you get better at poker is by playing better players. So unless your a champion poker player you better find the better players if you truly want to ever go anywhere with this game. Humbly my two cents. The better the players the more you're own skill will grow and maybe someday you can actually do something worthwhile in the poker arena.

3rd bold is not as bad but pissed off can be a good thing tilting bad pissed off razor sharp? That can totally pay off.

Think you lose due to your aggressive style, its not a problem for you to make allin after flop having just a little advantage, thats from what i noticed when play with you.
Ist not a problem when we play freeroll, but when you play against regular players in cash or buyin tourn. style like this sometimes cant help.

take notes:) use them later for that tournament or later for another event ring whatever.

agreed on the good players and bad players disagree sure they win here and there but its kinda like that tournament you see a bad player with chips making a bad move and you flat out say to self they got about 20 mins till run into a real table full of good players and they are done lol.

I do think your going about it wrong putting most attention to your cards and board pay attention to players we all have weaknesses otherwise we would win every time

Im so confused from that i have read. In this case i want to ask you some questions, which came in my head after.

1.Do i have to play poker only when i need money or want to multiply?
2.The most interesting is, how you distinguish "good" players from the "bad" ones? (Its interesting to me, cause i think i could not have that much experience.)
3. You think this is for every player on the planet? Cause i think there is some factors like personality and selfconsciousness at the diffirent situations and life ups and downs.
Those three are most interesting to know. And also, i didnt get anything from your 5th one about the untold, not even mentioned in books.

Maybe you should look at videos from pro-players to see how they play, and learn from that.

If you want to get better study, play with purpose and learn from each hand. If you can only come up with bad luck or rigged algo's as the only problem with your game then this game may not be for you long term. Variance is a part of it but it can destroy a bankroll quickly if you are making it worse by getting your money in bad regularly. Remember have fun, it's a great game!

Get a program like Poker Tracker or Holdem Manager.

You can then see a player's stats and that will help you determine whether they're good or bad.

Agreed... not a fan of this post.

Play poker because you enjoy the strategy and want to improve your logical thought processes. If you're doing something only for money, you're always doomed. You may have some success, but life is too short. Do what you love and work hard at becoming good at it. You need to be realistic about what you can make a living at, but focus on your passions first and push to be successful in those areas of your life.

My observations:

"Do not play poker for fun. Just play poker to make money"

on the contrary I am a professional Engineer I only play for fun, if I win is ok,

"Do not play against good players, so try to avoid challenges and played with easy players to win"

I play all. good, bad, Pros, I am just learning and having fun.

"Never ever play with money you can not afford to lose"

Agree 100%

The rest does not apply. :deal:
