Hi guys!

Since 2013, I've teamed up with professional online player Stasia42, and together we developed a Poker-Trainer, designed to teach novice/beginning Cash players to beat the online Micro-Stakes (2NL-10NL). This web-based game is currently in Alpha testing stage, and is almost fully functional. You can find it here: www.poker-fighter.com

The game is designed in a fun and interactive way, and takes you all the way through basic poker theory, pre-flop, and flop spots. It is offered free of charge, so you guys can just play online and tell us how you feel about it.

We use artificial intelligence to calculate your exact hand strength on each flop, and provide advice according to hand strength, flop texture, position, etc.

We will gladly receive feedback about anything!

Code? :)

If that's not possible maybe you could elaborate a bit more on:

There is no money involved. It's just a fun simulation.

Code? :)

If that's not possible maybe you could elaborate a bit more on:

Well, I looked a lot at open-source bots code, and assembled something that measures the relative strength of a hand on a flop. I don't want to elaborate too much, because I don't want to give away my "secret sauce" :)

But anyway, this is mainly aimed to understand how strong hero is. After knowing that, we teach actions and reactions according to position, knowledge on villan, flop wetness, etc.

We try to find the right balance between going deep enough to be able to win the micros, and not too deep, to make things not too complex.

That's the thing, you can't complete it :) The artificial intelligence generates endless situations, so you can practice as much as you want.

We really want feedback about what types of simulations do you want us to add. For Example:
* CBetting turns on Scare Cards In/Out Of Position
* Playing versus Aggros on the Flop
* CBetting Flop & Turn and getting Check/Raised by an unknown/passive/aggro
etc.

We want to create simulations according to the poker community needs.

Guyman you may want to add short animation of the action before you act, the way it is right now (im only talking about preflop because that is only thing that i tried) it take time to look at sizes and stuff and figure is it raised 3 betted or 4 betted pot, im not saying that it is bad bot at first sight it is bit confusing. adding a small second or two animation of action before you will be helpfull and would create an real table and real situation image, similar like it is in pokerstrategy ICM trainer.

Just my 2 cents, im bit busy lately so i dindt have time to devote to this, other than that it really look helpfull (again i tried only preflop)

Hi DrazaFFT, thanks for the feedback.
Couple of answers:
1) We have a "Replay Actions" button, so if you forgot what the poker actions that happened before you, you can press it and replay them.
2) I think replaying the actions everytime will be boring for the players. Because the situations are isolated, the actions are almost exactly the same in a given level. If it's an RFI level, everyone folded before you. If it's an "Isolate Limpers" level, everyone either folded or limped before you. If it's a "VS. 3Bet" level, you raised and someone 3-Betted you, and so on. Don't you think the replaying everytime will hurt the tempo of the game ?

I was referring to animation before you need to act, like in ICM trainers, deal the cards, put the blinds, bet, 3bet or whatever and then it is hero turn to act, animation like that will take less than second but it will add the feeling of real hand... I wasnt talking about replay... Now im reading my post again and i never mention replay...

Yea I got you. I was asking if the capability of pressing Replay isn't good enough ? Do you think it's better to show the actions before every hand, even though it will hurt the tempo of the hand, and will be actually repeating itself when playing in the same level.

Another option, is some kind of checkbox that will disable the animation. Meaning, that the default is a replay of the actions, and add a checkbox to announce that you don't want the animation anymore.

Anyway, good feedback! Interesting stuff that we should think about.

Hi,

We actually reached the Alpha testers threshold, so we don't accept new users. If you want to participate in the Beta testing, send an email with your request to: pokerfighter42@gmail.com and we will notify you when the version will launch.

I think that replay button is good the way it is now, TBH i have never used it at all, and the auto replay would really kill the action and spend a lot of tme, now when i lurk a bit at the flop play i see that there is an animation of action pre hero and i like it...

Check box with autoreplay can be an option but i would leave it unchecked by default, you can also consider auto explain mistake checkbox...

Also thanks for responding to all of our little demands and for being active in this thread, really shows that our opinion is important to you, thank you for that!!!

Hi,

We have different methods of monetizing the App, and still not 100% sure which one will take.
We might give basic-medium levels for free and advanced levels per monthly licenses.
Maybe according to stakes: micros for free, small for payment.
We're also examining other ways of monetization.
