This(http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/fpdb/index.php?title=Main_Page) is about all you'll get on linux unless you're wanting to go through the process of messing around with WINE, in which it seems some people have success, some people don't. I never wanted to hassle with it, so I just have my Dev machine(Fedora, Ubuntu, XBMCuntu), and personal machine(WinV, Win7, XBMCuntu)

What poker sites and clients do you use on Ubuntu?

With most sites I thought you would have to use WINE or a VirtualMachine for the client anyway.

I don't use any poker sites on Linux and haven't for years, so I don't know what's available on there anymore. I know that Merge sites cannot be run without WINE or a VM, but I'm not sure about other sites anymore. I just did a quick Google search and all I could find were outdated "Poker on Linux" and "Poker on Mac" sites. I don't care enough right now to look any further ;)

I run Arch Linux with XFCE. For poker I run an XP virtual machine. Wine may work for poker clients and possibly work for PT / HEM but the HUD will not AFAIK. I believe I've seen someone say they got the HUD working after a lot of work, but with WINE any update to the poker client or tracker software may break it. The only reliable way to play poker on linux with a working HUD and tracker is using a VM. *So its no really on linux, except for the trackers database (postgresql) on the linux host which is more efficient.

I first switched to linux because I could barely run HEM, postgresql and everything else with my 1 gig of ram. The switch to ubuntu and an xp vm saved me around 300 megs of ram even after giving the VM half my 1 gig.

Its actually pretty simple. If you got postgresql setup on the linux host, you install psqlODBC on the windows guest (this is the link between the guest and the host), and point HEM/PT to the correct local IP which postgresql defaults to 10.0.2.2 on linux.

Pretty sure I originally followed a guide right from HEM forum, and it looks like its in the FAQ now. http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/73/Install+PostgreSQL+with+Linux

* Pretty simple for linux...

I always found myself removing and disabling things from within windows, eventually creating custom install cds. Much easier to build from nothing with Arch and only have what I want and need installed.
