So I picked up poker tracker 3, my problem is the hud is only displaying stats for the table I am sitting at.

This mainly applies to my stats as I haven't seen a lot of repeat people, but I have noticed in MTT that the stats start over when I switch tables, even if someone is at that table I have seen before.

I'll have two tables running, whatever game, and even for my stats it starts over. So I'll have a good run of cards and a VP$P of 40 of table one and a bad run of cards and a VP$P of 18 on table 2. Why doesn't the software give me data based on my total history instead of just that one table?

Even at the start of a brand new table its taking 15 hands (where I have it set to start displaying stats) for my own stats, and I've got 2500+ hands in my database.

Is this normal? I couldn't find a setting for it anywhere. I realize that having table specific data is nice as people change styles or have bad runs, but it would be nice to have the option of seeing someones historical data as well.

I also realize I can see this in the actual poker tracker 3 interface, but it would nice to get it into the hud too.

While I'm on the subject, why does the hud pop up every time in a different position? I've set it all up the way I like it, save the layout, and the next table that pops up all the names are out of order again. I usually just move my seat (rotate the table) to make up for it, but its kind of a pain in the butt when I've got 4 tables open and every one I'm sitting in a different place.

I'm using this on FTP btw.

So that you can get some idea of how you are running this session, and how others percieve you. (you could configure it differently) but thats the default.

It normally shows your opponents historical data, not your own (unless you have been playing around with the display current level option)

You have to let PT3 know where your prefered seat is. This is done in the conficuration tab for each site (next to the 'begin import' button)

For your own stats, the HUD always displays only the current stats for the table you're sitting at. This is more valuable than seeing your overall stats - if you normally run 18/16, great, you know that, you don't need the HUD to tell you that. But if you're running 40/32 at one table and 7/5 at another, it's good to know what image you've got at those tables.

There are ways to configure the HUD to show your stats from the first hand you're dealt at the current table, but some of the default layouts won't show anything for the first several hands. The rationale is that there isn't anything significant you can tell about someone based on the first several hands.

Villain stats show for all hands in the db, MTT vs. cash (i.e., if you play someone in an MTT, the stats will only be for MTT hands and vice versa). You can also configure the HUD to only display stats for villain at the current limit for cash - the rationale is that some people play differently at different limits.

I'm not sure what's up w saving the table layout, but do you have a preferred seat configured? That may be the problem, not sure.

EDIT: Stu beat me to it... :( I type too slowly...

IN PT3 just set the min number of hands required to 1

Thanks very much. Having my own stats separated is probably in my best interest. I also probably haven't seen enough people in enough hands to see it pop up on its own. Although I do seem to remember having the same guy at 2 of the same tables I was at in the $2 nl 9max cash games and he had different stats for each table iirc. Maybe it just didn't have enough overall data to combine them, or I probably need to reboot PT3 at some point (its been running non-stop since I installed it Friday)

There are just so many options its crazy, its a bit daunting. I actually changed it from showing after 1 hand to showing after 15. 15 is probably still too low, I might move that up in the future.

Its confusing as hell, and I'm only really using VP$P right now, but the pt3 interface with all my stats is really cool and its neat to see how well I'm playing certain hands. There is a lot of red in my PT3 interface though. Thank goodness for the FTP deposit matching or I'd be down $10 for the weekend ;)

I'll try and find the preferred seat setting when I get home, thanks for the quick responses guys!

I have a secondary question regarding poker software and I figured I'd just tack it on here rather than starting a new thread.

This relates specifically to the SitNGo Wizard.

Is there any reason to use this over PT3? Does it offer something different?

I've been in the green for one table SNG's, one of the few formats I am in the green. I just didn't know if SitNGo wiz would be worth investing in if I already have PT3.

Thanks!
