Poker tournament formula 2

I am currently studying "Poker tournament formula" by Arnold Snyder.
I find it very useful for my tournament poker education.

Is there someone who has read both PTF 1 and 2 ?
How do you evaluate second book in comparison to first ?
How valuable PTF 2 is for novice player ?
Isn't it too complex ?
Are strategies from second book applicable to low buyin tournaments ?
