Hy,

I am not really new in poker, since i've playing for fun for +/-3years.
Nevertheless, i never try to really learn anything and only play for fun, spending some money i win in freerolls or bonus.

Recently, i have tried to learn to play for real, but i have encontered serious dificulties in understanding most of what i read due to two things:
1) i am a REALLY bad english reader/writer/spoker
2) there are too many terms/words that i do not understand what they mean.

With this in mind, would someone please try to explain those "technical" terms that we found all over the forum, using easy english, if you please?

Thanks in advance

1) what's your language, I could probably translate
2) mention some technical terms you don't fully understand.

There's so many terms so I think you have to be a bit more specific.

Well, my language is Portuguese.
Regarding the amount of terms, that is exactly why i haven't wrote any in particular, because there are so many that even if i wrote some, there will continue existing too many to me.
So i think the best would be anyone that would be interested in helping newbies (not just me) to understand these terms, to write those that he remembers

However, i would like to thank you for your speed in answering

That would be impressive. I hate talking poker strategy in Spanish because the terms are just so clumsy when you try to translate them (particularly the slang ones).
I am pretty shure that each country has its own terms and slang that could be used to express the same idea....
I am not spanish, neither i speak it, but i am certain that if you look for it, you probably will find terms expressing the same ideas that you want to translate.
Of course that it will not use the same words (as in NL = No Limit = Sem Limite), but the idea it will be the same (or equivalent in case of slang)

I actually know a lot of Spanish poker terms, it's just they sound so shitty when I try to use them in conversation.

All links to pages with terms of poker are very welcome, because there are always some diferences, and that help us newbies to really understand the meanning of some words.

Thanks for your help ;)

No No
lol is for the lesser donk.
The proper term for that is: LOLZ

Of course it could be dependent on pfr, vpip, ag, SH, SB,
or PO which could be Pot odds, Position, a vain cards chat member, a mistyped original poster,
or a polite request to remove oneself with urine.

sorry op, probably doesn't help very much.
