start with the rule of 4 and 2

examples

you have a flush draw on the flop..holecards Ace clubs/Ten clubs..flop 8clubs/2clubs/3hearts...the chances of hitting your flush are 4x9=36%..9 clubs are left in the deck discounting your clubs and the flops...

then 2x9 on the turn..=18%

so count your outs and use 4 and 2 and combine the results with the odds you need to continue..

then when you've understood that bit, look into implied odds.

Yes, you will get more help by learning odds, guessing help sometime, but not all the times.

Do you know of any training sites for mostly calculating odds? I don't really understand the 4-2 rule

Odds are very interesting. What are the odds say pre flop though. For example how do you calculate these percentages before the flop? Like pocket aces, pocket kings, AK suited, A5 suited or off suit etc..

Thanks guys!

The rule of 2 and 4 is easy:

Multiply your outs on the Turn, by 4, and on the river, by 2. The example given above may have confused you if you're unfamiliar with outs, in which case I'd suggest studying outs.

He's trying to learn to actually count outs.... this is a free program we put out. You can also get the other paid parts, but the equity calculator and the odds and outs trainer (quiz style format) are free. It's exactly what you're asking for and it will help you get this down pretty quick:

you can use an odd calculator for your hand, but you don't know your opponents hand, there is no odd calculator for that, is he bluffing or not, you don't know
