Do any of you guys play poker for a monthly cash flow?

I'm thinking of playing 10 cent/25 cent tables while multi-tabling. Possibly 3-4 tables with $15 buy in's each and trying to make $30 a day of profit.

If I play 30 days out of the month at $30 of profit, I should be able to make a sweet $900 month of income to help pay for my college tuition.

Is this doable and possible to do? Any tips from people who are already doing this? Referring to no limit hold em cash games.

Edit:Not tring to sound like a ***** seriously. I would say i need more info on your game but it's obv to me that as of right now you have no clue.
It's cool o thats what the forum is here for.Read, study get better.

thanks for sticking mine up :/

it is shit, but it could help?

I dunno..

but yeah, I think trying to achieve a daily rate is a bad idea. Because say you have a good day and make $30, withdraw it and then the next day lose $40, your bankroll (money to play poker with) is not -$40.

and if you're going to play, buy in for 100 big blinds.

there's more, but I'm too tired to think of anything else.

Well I was looking at it from a daily view perspective, but how much do you think for a pretty good player would be a good goal to have profits wise on 10 cent/25cent tables each month?

So far I'm down about 35$ today.

Well you were talking about buying in with 60bb's.Around here and most places thats a tell tell sign of some who needs to learn the fundamentals first.

yah, with Joe there.

and also, win rates are monitored by BB/100 instead of hours spent.

1BB is 2bb. BB = big bets, bb = big blinds.

Everyone needs to stop using BB/100 it's dumb.

Buy in full, play tight, put people on hands and read some more threads around the forum to improve. Btw, you're not good enough to beat 25nl right now and that's a fact. You need to start lower and improve and it's cheaper and easier lower down.

Given that this is the state of your game, you'd be much better off to focus on learning the game well enough to become a winning player before looking toward generating monthly income.

That said, if we do get ahead of ourselves and look ahead, it's certainly possible to average $900 a month playing 25nl. But you should probably look at hours of play, not just days. It's called grinding the micros for a simple reason; to make the kind of money you're talking about, you have to put in a lot of hours, probably more than you've considered when you only look at wanting to avg $30 per day.

You can change the numbers of course, but let's say that on avg, you 3-table. To avg $30 per day, that's $10 per table per day. $10 is 40BB. Assuming 50 hands per hour and a win rate of 5BB/100, that means you have to play an avg of 8 hours per day.

I had a thread about monthly earnings a while back, have a look:

Don't want to sound harsh but the fact that you want to buy-in for $15 on 25nl tables, and your statement about only playing PPs and face cards makes me think that you haven't played a ton on NL cash games. Have you beaten any of the lower levels for a decent winrate? If not then you are likely to get crushed at 25nl.
