They say the best way to progress in poker is to analyze hands etc.. with other peers and alike. Im having a hard time finding the right people for this. As my roommate is the one who taught me to play hold em. However is an older guy in his 60s and is an old school exploitive player. Im 32 and have been playing almost 2 years now. Starting to branch from him to a more gto based strategy. Was eondering are there any players in thr Vancouver, WA or Porland atea are in the same boat looking for same thing? Interested in a text group or grinding together so we can get in front of the curve at a faster pace. If so send a pm or reply to the thread. I would prefer a local as could play together which i think would be a better choice to just a message group. Thanks jeremy.

That's just it is good that he is a player of the old tactics, his skill in a young body + new skill I think dates are a good basis for the game ...

Yes and no. Doesnt understand todays game. He plays mostly limit. I agree that his perspective is good to a point. However he will not evolve to anything else.
