Poker is really relative to the table, game, stakes, and players.
For instance, if you are playing micro-stakes, people take it less seriously and are playing more-so for fun /to try to learn. Therefore, there is a big advantage to playing TAG (tight aggressive) early in the table and setting up and image while watching which players fold a lot and which ones bluff to much, all the while recognizing the regulars who are also playing your style.
That is beating micro-stakes, incrementally and exponentially if it is tournaments.
So, what is the question we must ask before each time we sit at a game?
What do we need to do to succeed? How should I play this game with these tables, games, stakes, and players?
Anyway, this is just a theory of mine to be more successful in whatever game you are playing.
