Personally, I would not pay a coach. I am not familiar with the training on PS, but there is so much good free information available in many places, that I can't see paying someone. But your decision might be different based on your goals, motivations, and playing level. I am a recreational player and have a net win ratio. If your goal is to play professionally to make a living and you do not have net win ratio, it might be worth paying a coach to get you up to speed quickly.

I think you are going to find a coach not helpful at all unless:

1. You have no idea how to play poker.

2. You are a sophisticated player trying to turn the corner at higher limits.

Anything in the middle, a coach is not going to do much for your game.

Really, if you think about it, the only way to improve an intermediate player is to sit and watch them play for hours to see what the real leaks are which just isn't going to happen.

Once you get past the basics in poker and starting hand selection, you can gradually improve your game by using free materials.

P.S. Most coaching is a scam for these reasons.....

i think unless youve won a million 2 to 3 times having a TRUE coach is best way to go someone who has been there done that. Now to find a TRUE coach is difficult they got their own lives etc.. twitch players do a lot of teaching etc.. for free but if you find a guy winning 7 to 20k weekly and they will talk to you give you advice? Winning in vegas etc.. that can help anyones game. There is a lot on media now who will share some time so tips etc... I have a ton on my facebook http://www.facebook.com/thetick33 or twitter @robertguess2009. Good luck I have given thought to doing some twitch maybe coaching a few friends havent decided.

I think with the quality of videos these days, you don't need coaching as much.
