Hey everybody!

Could someone recommend me a good author and his books about how to play heads-ups better on micro and low limits?
Cause although i'm rarely play HU tables, but playing a lot of SNGs and there are sometimes situations where i have to play heads-up and then it's important to winning this, because it's a big difference of money between 1st and 2nd places.

Any other tips would help as well. Thanks in advance!

I think twitch is really the way to go. Books get so dated. Try to find some videos from a specialist.

The theory and practice are very different, I think that going to this forum can help you much more than reading a book (in my opinion). As for the Heads Up, you must first have confidence and believe in the hands that you dispute, second if you have the opportunity to watch your opponent play you should take advantage of this information.

Thanks for your answers everyone! I do appreciate that you took for these some time.
@rhombus, thank you especially for the links. I was reading a book "SNG Strategy" and i like how Moshman writes, i give it a try!
Btw i saw a book in some store about heads-up written by Dan Harrington, what you will say about it?

I would not rely on books about HU poker, The game changes very quickly so info that is 2 years old in a book is well 2 years old. Try to find youtube or twitch streamers who will give some pretty good advice while they play.

Or if you can spend money Doug Polk released a HU poker course but it is about $1000 US

Check out Doug Polk's youtube channel. He's probably the GOAT heads up player, even the guys that had positive winrates against him refuse to give him heads up action. In his channel he analises famous hands and through his analises, you get to have a sneak peak of an elite heads up player's mind. This won't make you an elite heads up player, but you will definitely learn a lot about heads up play on his "poker hands with Doug Polk" segment.

YouTube has a lot of good videos on it if you look at the right channels. Learning good HU play helps you have a solid post flop game in ring games too because a lot of situations are 2/3 to a flop and the applied principals are very similar with the only difference being expected hand ranges and table position.

Thanks to you all for good tips and especially for the links! I will surely have a look at youtube channels and try to learn something of it.
@braveslice, sorry i have expressed me not correctly. Actually i meant that he has "playing heads-up" as a part of his book serie "cash games"

+1

I think watching anything from Polk (posts a ton of his tournaments) can help anyone. He also streams on twitch (would be a good person to follow).
