Hi,

I'm interested in reading a few poker books which focus mainly on improving a players game for SNGs and MTTs. I've read Super System and feel it focuses on cash game strategy a lot which was very useful but I am trying to focus on SNG and MTT strategy at the moment. Would greatly appreciate if anyone could give me some good suggestions.

Thanks,

Gus Hanson (Every Hand Exposed, or something like that)
Phil Gordon (Little Blue Book...or the Green one)
Dan Harrington's tournament series books

Good Luck

Collin Moshman's SNG is a must.
Winning Tournament Poker: One Hand at a Time is also good too.

The books Vollycat suggested are great to read especially Dan Harrington's MTT strategy series (divided in two volumes) and Phil Gordon Little Green book.

Both books are available at the Full Tilt store, Dan Harrington's for 9100 FTPs (each) and Phil Gordon's book for 7300 FTPs.

Haven't read Hansen's book so can't share my view on it.

okay someone mentioned Gus book- i would not start here, its not even really about strategy, as its about "dont do this", but for some reason i decided too.
Anyways the must reads are:
mtt:
harringtons vol 1-3 Tour
kill everyone
sng:
collin moshmans sit'n go strategy

I would recommend getting this book as a supplement. It really helps you with a mindset and how to manage your bankroll very well.
Treat Your Poker Like a Business by Dusty Schmidt(Leatherass9)

I started out with this book when I decided to take cash game seriously.
Small Stakes No Limit Hold'em by Ed Miller, Sunny Mehta, Matt Flynn.

For sngs, I read Collin Moshman's Sit-n-Go Strategy.

For mtts, I need to get myself a good mtt book.
But I heard Harrington's books Volume 1-III is good. I was lazy to read those but I gotta read them soon.
