I prefer aggressive playing and minimizing the players behind me if I am in early position. In late position I am more likely to flat call a raiser or the blind, but still not likely. Pre flop aggressiveness build a pot, and if someone catches a piece of something good after calling a healthy raise preflop, the equity over the long term for your pocket aces will be higher than slow playing and risking getting sucked out on, IMO. Side Note: Table image is a big factor as well, if the players know you are a rock, then that could throw them off and they will know you have a monster, but if you have an aggressive table image, pocket aces can do you wonders.
