As we know AA is the best hand in poker but don't be too quick to lay down ur lower pocket pairs depending on your situation at the table

I'd like to know what people like to do with low pocket pairs in a tournament, I'm talking like 22 - 77. In a cash game I'll try and limp in every time and hope to hit the set but I'm not really sure the best way to play them in a tournament. If I'm in early position I'll usually raise them, in late position I'll try and limp in. I'll fold if anyone raises.

All you can do is Limp or call with no rise, if you hit a triple then do the magic trick! don't Limp again or they might hit better hands.

this is just my personal preference, but I like to raise/re-raise with AA, KK, and QQ; with hands JJ- I like to limp in as an attempt to set mine. If I'm in a tournament, sometimes I'll throw away low pocket pairs depending on position/table dynamic. Also note that your odds of flopping a set are ~1/7, so knowing how many opponents are in the pot and how much they each have behind is important when set mining in tournaments. If you aren't getting good implied odds pre-flop, just throw throw your low pocket pairs away. If you're short stacked, shove all 55+ with M<=10, and any pocket pair with M<=6 or 6<M<=10 if you're in late position.

I think problem in playing with medium and small pocket pairs.

Small pocket pairs - limp for set mine.
Not hit in set on a flop? Fold this hand.

Medium pairs in position maybe raise reraise.
Out position call for set mine.

So if you 3-bet don't leave) Seth worth a look), if no luck better bluff), in a cash game it's cool!:) to raise with a couple not the best idea:( just my opinion :(, limp best solution :)

With low pairs ( 2 ~ 9 ) i only limp in any position, and call 6BB at late postion (CO or BUTTON) , with high pairs (T ~ A), i open a mini raise with any position if no raises before me, if anyone raises, i call 10BB at late position, if i'm on late position and someone 3bet me and i'm on with KK or AA, i do 4bet, bcs mostly of times if u open raise, and people got Ax suited or AJ,AQ, certanly then will raises ur raise, bcs other hands people already raised before XD, so good lucky and hit ur three of a kind soon as possible, if u did hit nothing, and have many action on pot just fold, and dont lose more chips :p

With low pocket pairs depending on the table dynamics my action varies. SOmetimes i would set mine, especially against looser players. With tight players who limp in i would also limp in or even raise it up sometimes. So for me it depends on the dynamics at the time. With that being said though, if they are insane preflop raises and 3/4bets i'll lay them down and live to fight another day :)

Do not limp! pocket pairs - a good hand, it is necessary to raise, without any hesitation, when the action gets to you!

I have on many hands had a small pair 33 44 77 or like and I have flopped the set. if the opening bet all around is not real steep I will always try to see a flop with small pair.

With couples to 77 it is necessary to play FLOP, hasn't got Better to throw out!

It isn't necessary to overestimate pocket couples strongly!!!
