99 is better because its already a made hand ..
Which do you think is the better preflop hand at a full table sitting in Middle position
If there is possible post flop action (not an all-in situation), then you have to consider which hand has more equity on most flops....(even 22) is a favorite over any two unpaired over-cards (roughly 51%-49%).
AK, suited or not, is a DRAWING hand. It is not now, nor has is ever been, a pair.
huh...I would pre-plof 2bet!Look floop!If Ace I am fold meybu all-in!
Are you talking about all-in preflop only?Any pocket pair has a better chance of winning than AK.
What type of game is it?
What are stacks at the table?
What are blinds?
What is the action before you?
Will there be post-flop action?
If this were an MTT and a HU situation, I'd want AK because there are a lot of flops you can cbet that 99 will have a hard time playing against. You also have a lot more equity to hit on the turn of the flop is so low card more than 99 does if the flop is high cards.
If it's multi way, then 99 is the better option. Easier have to get paid off on if you hit a set vs multiple opponents. And easier hand to let go if you miss.
99 is not better99 is better because its already a made hand ..
