Read lessons on PLO and understand that I must use 2 of the cards that I am holding, along with the cards on the table to make my hand?? So, if there are four spades on the table and I hold the Ace of spades and 3 diamond cards I, in fact, do not have the nut flush? Didn't read anywhere that that both of my cards had to actually "worK" with the cards on the table.

Side question: Am I posting, threading, or blogging?

That is correct, and they do not both have to be part of the hand that contributes to winning, but you also have to use only 3 from the board.
You would not have the flush.
This is the only response I am giving today, lol:)

Oh side answer, you made a thread, we are posting in it.

What poofy said. 2 of your hole cards + 3 of 5 community cards.

You should use the search function of this site and read a bit (search for PLO or Omaha).

You posted.

You have to use 2 cards ion your hand and 3 cards on the board. In your scenario you would need the Ace of spades and another spade to have the flush.

You don't have the flush, however you can represent the nut flush as you have the ace which is a blocker.
Basically, it means even if a player has a king-high flush they'll be afraid you have the nut flush which you can easily represent as you know they can't have it.

This rarely works in micro stakes as people just thinking king-high flushes are good, but in mid to high stakes i've heard this is a very effective way of 'bluffing'.
