I love PLO and especially PLO/8. You have to be thinking with 2 endpoints in PLO8 as it is a split pot game. Nothing is better when you out play a fish and scoop the pot. But that means you MUST have decent hole cards. They have to be able to work both hi, Ax broadway and low, A2-4(depending on position and table make up) and the flop will either brighten your soul, or you will fold out.
PLO newbies ususally get pointed to Jeff Hwangs books and I like them. Granted you do not hit the
hands he refers to alot. Especially in 6mx as that is a free for all. Have a good
bankroll for the variance. Because you can be miles ahead on the flop, and by the river, you can be a pauper. You will see fish hold out hope to get a full house and sometimes hit it.
Good luck!
