I am registered with pokerstars Poker School Online
I have played a few of their freerolls also

I pulled out these stats from their webpage:
  • VPIP 80.00%
  • Steals 0.00%
  • Raises 70.00%
  • 3bets 100.00%
  • C-Bets 100.00%
I only play freerolls for now.
Can some of you guys out there with more experience playing poker please tell me what these stats tell me about my game play ??
Also please give me pointers if u may and help me better my game if I am not on the right track to get there.
Thank you very much :)

no offence but that vpip says your a whale among fish. Pretty much you play 8/10 hands and you 3bet every one you play that had a raise prior to your action and that after having raised pre you then make a continuation bet on every single flop.

However not knowing how many hands this is based on makes it fairly pointless, but still you play way too WAG (whale aggressive lol).

Breakdown

VPIP - stands for volutarlily putting your chips in pot.
Steals - times pots you try to steal.
Raises - times you open the pot
3bet - times you reraise an already raised bet
Cbet - times you put out a Continuation bet on the flop (that is after raising pre flop you fire the flop)

According to those stats you play very very aggressively, you like to have a lot of fun at the table, you like to gamble a lot, You don't care very much if you win/lose, you hate playing for more than a few minutes and you are a good person (no steals). Keep having a good time sir. Those numbers deserve a salute :icon_fara.

I highly suggest you do not play 80% of hands. No mater what sample that number is based of it. I think around 20-25% sounds pretty LAG personally and I wouldn't play more than that. I normally raise 10-15% of hands and play around 15-20%. I would suggest checking out a starting hand chart to get a good idea of how to improve. But sense you are playing freerolls (MTTS) no static range will be best but even then I would play less hands.

:D :D Agree...

You play for fun and don't care much about position, poker math and other "anoying" things in this game.

If you want to become better at poker, I suggest you read about it and start to learn ABC poker for now. If not, just keep enjoying.

Cheers.

I would like to know what's the sample size for this stats.
One can't possibly have stats like this with sample larger than like 90 hands... or can... hmmmm... where you from btw? :D

First of all, Thank you all so much for analyzing these stats :D
Wonderful comments, all of you, I still have a smile on my face from reading all of the above comments and trust me when I say, I type very slow LoL :)

none taken Sir, thanks for the honesty and I am a little on the heavier side so a whale among fish is very apt in describing me hahahahaha
Honestly, even I dont know how many hands this is based on :p

WoW that is exactly what I do, I cant stick around in a game for long coz i get bored hahaha and I cant think of Poker to be boring or else I will have to involuntarily stop playing the Game LoL. Thank you for your kind words :)

Yes Sir, I have tried to play conservative after posting this thread and I managed to finish 44 out of 9000 in a ticket freeroll yesterday :D , it took around 3.5 hrs but I lasted that long cause I had a movie playing on the side :p

Yes I enjoy it a lot playing without having to worry where I finish.
Also, as you said, I will start reading some material and watching some videos. Thank you very much :)

Sample size is number of hands played. If you look at your stats at PSO first stat is hands played, without it the stats doesn't mean much...

It is much better to post the way you have posted, the quality is what is important to join the club and the continuous posts gets merged or deleted, so it is better this way, you save mods time and you give better impression...

Ok I found out that these stats are only for the Poker School Freerolls and not for all the freerolls I play :p

But I safely assume the % values for my Stats will be round about the same for all games played since I play every freeroll the same way :D

Edited: Also, please tell me what is Shooter Factor ??

Lol 10 hands is nothing, so the stats mean nothing.

Only thing to say is that you played 8/10 hands so you should probably fold more, but even VPIP is pretty meaningless over this sample as it's perfectly possible to get dealt 8/10 playable hands in a row.

With 10 hands stats like 3bet, cbet and steal are completely meaningless.

trickiness and shooter factor are just a couple of the pso features that have lb's involved to win money from as well. You should be able to get the info from the pso probably if you clicked on them it might link not sure.

Deal with this stats after you have at least 500 hands. ;)

I'm doing better following what ABC Poker teaches, but by the time I reach the later phase of a tournament, my stack is not soo big and I get burnt soon :(

What will be an appropriate time to maybe switch from ABC Poker to a different strategy to keep up with the top 20-30% stacks ?

with your 10 hand sample .....were you doing what the other freerollers were doing and shoving all in virtually every hand?
