In H/L there can be two winners and two pots, or only one. He has a hand (2,3,4,7,8) that is all 8 or below, so he wins the low pot. You won the high pot with two pair, Qs and 4s.

If no one has a hand that is all 8 or lower, there is no low pot. And one person can win both pots, using different cards from their hand.

What DaReKa said. It's good to play hands that can "scoop" the pot (win both the low and the high).

I see, thanks for reply...another question please, if possible ...:D

For example if he has a J and K (any suit), instead of 2 and 3... I would win both pots? In case he had cards above 8, is correct or not?

If he had KJ, you would win all the money, but it would be just one pot. It's only multiple pots if someone has a low hand. Neither you or he would have a low hand if he had KJT9.

If I'm not wrong there would be 2 pots because you have a lo of 8754A.

Yes he won low because he had a lower hand than you. Low hand goes from highest low to lowest low. In this case was 87432 vs 8754A. Your 5 was higher than the 4. If you had A3 or A2 you would have won. A 7432A losses to 6432A , 7632A losses to 7543A. In my opinion your lucky to have won high with pair Q's that rarely happens.
