You were playing 2nl right? buyin 40bb or 50bb?

In general MSS is a bit swingy cuz you are alowed to take some thinner edge spots and still be at +ev cuz of the dead money that is why the swings can be big and that is why we need stricter BRM. IMO 20bucks is a bit short to start cash game with 20bi you can easily play money scared, i have started with 20 bucks that i won on CC FTP freeeroll, i almost lost it when i droped to under 12 but luckily got back and rebuild...

I dont think that the stop loss is an issue here. You stop when you start playing bad if you were taking good spots and still loosing you should keep playing, but if you see that youre tilting you should quit...

Maybe you havent fully understood MSS and your game need fixing a bit...

I have been playing mss for a while now, can you share in short what concepts youre following and what materials you used to learn mss, i might help you a bit, im no expert im breaking even 10nl for last 60k hands but im still might be helpfull at 2/5nl...

That seems OKish but 3bet is too low, MSS ranges should be overall bit tighter that 100bb, do you play 6max or full ring. When i played at FTP i had similar stats but 3bet was higher 6 i think. Now im playing 19/15/7

Have you defined your ranges to open from each position? 3bet is pretty nice explained at pokerstrategy articles, you know that you should have 3bet value and 3bet bluff, you stackoff your value and you fold your bluff range. Basically TPGK is stackoff on flop with 40-50bb JJ+(maybe TT)/AK are stackoff pre. AKo in a 3bet pot where you have cold caller between opener and 3bettor is a +ev stackoff against pairs beside 43-15%equity cuz of the dead money that compensate.

I think that already told you, check the thread in my sig, there are bunch of the hands that are played bad and that are commented by LD1970 and other that can help you a lot.

So.. is it wrong play??

Meh - I don't play that way but my real point is you are going get some big bankroll swings if you are consistently looking to get it all in with only top pair at the flop. It's not like I have never done it, but I am usually looking at playing the whole hand, not just the flop. At least I assume you mean the flop cause pushing the river w TPGK would be pretty suicidal.

At 40bb TPGK is an allin hand, 2overs+FD is an allin hand, monster draw, combo draw are both all in hands. Thats how you play MSS, edges are thin there that is why its so swingy, that is why you need deeper br and stricter brm

Yeah, that's why I say "Meh" - it's not that I won't do it - it's just not an instamove for me. Others it may be and I don't criticize that. But just like Draza is saying and I said before - those kind of swings are going to be very normal when playing it that way. It's not wrong but when variance catches your ass (and it will) you have to have the confidence to hold the course - if you are playing well. It will mess with your head though, if you let it.
