I really can't figure out how to play vs players who never fold preflop no matter how many BB's I raise I always get like 3-7 callers the only way I get them to fold is if I push all-in. What am I supposed to do with a hand like AQ or AJ UTG? :mad:

my friend! The more you want to understand, and of not lost time! So I advise you to learn the theory! And you'll know what to do! Good luck at the tables!

If you study after-flop you can handle them :)

Remember to select your range against LAGs players and do not bluffs calling stations

In most situations, you fold. You really don't want to be playing hands like AJ / AQ from UTG or anywhere near there.

Having 3-7 callers usually is a reflection of the level you are playing. When you are playing the micros, that is what you are going to see. The way to be successful in an environment like that is to play tighter and raise hands that play well post flop mucking hands like AJ or AQ. While a raise can thin the herd, I look at it as a way to build the pot because I have a strong hand, not take blinds.

AQ and AJ. These cards are too dangerous to give a 100% guarantee. , in the middle position in the case raises, you should fold or be very very careful when you call in late position when there raises and callers only call. Usually a raise preflop bet with cards above Q. This suggests that, going into the game with a raise, you automatically put themselves at the mercy of the flop. The basic rule of draw AQ and AJ not to invest a lot of money in the pot preflop. More aggressive play with a suited hand.

I would give a different answer to this if it were in the cash or tourney section.

Since it is in the Learning Poker section I will answer it this way;

You have to understand that there are players who are gambling. Some are new, some are very experienced. The noobs might not know better, and the very experienced are testing you, tempting you to do stupid stuff.

So the easiest thing to do, is to stop raising those hands you want to play. Just limp in, try to catch on the flop, and proceed from there. Everybody wants to see a flop, I want to see a flop. I want to see a cheap flop.

The math in the game is NOT THE GAME. The people in the game ARE THE GAME! The math can help you a lot playing the situation, but less so the people.

But then this is one of the beautiful things about poker.

You should make standard raise with AQ or AJ UTG and if you get a lot of callers just give up if you miss the flop.

For me is easy, first I label those players (Yellow) and set a nice Trap; play tight until top hand arrives and then bet 10 BB and get him to pay every time!
