I've been playing online poker on and off for about 3 years, but read only a couple of online short tutorials, which are fine for a total beginner but won't bring in any money.

I've started getting more serious two months ago, read "Small Stakes Hold 'em" (Miller, Sklansky and Malmuth) but I'm more inclined to play SnG tournaments, so I've also read "Harrington on Hold 'em Vol I" (now beginning Vol II).

I've noticed that they have an almost opposite view on how to play on tight/loose tables. While Harrington advises to play tight on loose tables, in "Small Stakes Hold 'em" they say that this often given advice is wrong. Wondering what your experiences are? Especially on small buy-in SnG tournaments.

In my limited experience playing loose on tight, and vice versa seems to be a correct play, however I'm still not getting a steady profit so my experience may not be best.
