I am a sucker for suited connectors. Especially low cards. Am I a donk for that, and is it bad strategy?

Time and a place for those. Also, how you play them. I really see a lot of folks limping in with those cards too often. (IMHO)

It all depends on the situation. Your position is maybe the most important aspect. You don't want to play them in the UTG position, but in the button it could be a good idea. You want to play them when many players are in the pot and you can call with great odds. You wouldn't want to call a big raise with them.

IF we could see some example hands it may be easier to answer your question. But I have always loved the connectors whether suited or unsuited.

Playing them is good. But pulling them for 3 streets is... =)

Playing Suited Connectors never a bad idea unless you play too often
all u need to play suited connectors profitably is your position in hand , pot odds u are getting to make a call in multiway , stage of tourney , your image at the table , especially most importantly the stack size of yours & as well as opp etc are needed

low suited connector can give a good payout if you can get in at the right price not too keen early position though

Of course everything depends on the position and aggression at the table.

As long as your not calling shoves preflop with them you can play them profitably.

I usually like to play them in late position or when I'm in the blinds. I am very aggressive with my blinds. Min or 3x blind raise is an insta-call by me.

I love suited connectors too.
Once you are getting good odds and you are not overdoing it it is fine. They get you in trouble sometimes if you catch a small piece but they can really pay off if you hit and can crack a big hand.

All depends on the situation. If no Allin preflop then all in norm. + position.

I like suited connectors.
We need to know against whom you play, at least his aggression. And to assess how much will have to pay for the draw and how many manage to knock out the enemy, if Street come. If we estimate it is impossible, then fold.

your good man

THERE IS NO POLICEY TO WHAT CARDS YOU GO INTO A DRAW WITH. YOU CAN USE WHATEVER YOU FEEL GOOD WITH . sry for the caps but im not retyping..people get mad and say things cause no one likes losing. So don't pay no mind to what the others say or think they just wish they had the kahunas to pay and hold on to those cards play how u play man if it works it works good luck

I see a lot of people trying to play these often. I have tried it myself from time to time when I was in position on dealer button. I don't have too much luck with them but maybe that's just me LOL I have won very infrequently with that kind of hand... but sometimes feel tempted to keep trying:)

As is always the case, poker is always more complex than this. Usually the higher suited connectors are pretty good hands to shove with because they do pretty well against calling ranges, but they're often pretty bad hands to call a shove with. These sort of hands have a lot of boards which you can bluff on, so they are pretty decent hands to play with when you have a lot of BB to play with. They are pretty strong hands so I wouldn't worry if you are opening them from the later positions. Just don't go too far and make sure you know what it is correct to open from each position and you are confident with shoving ranges. :)

Can't see an issue with it, 6-8 suited not me out yesterday hit the tragic 7,9,10 straight against my kings ! King ten seems to be the new hand yesterday ! I play my best when I throw away anything but AK - aj is simply a killer hand

donk is when you shove suited connectors preflop and maybe at flop whit project ( it could depend of stack, rival reading, etc) but to make a small raise whit a decent position is a good decision.
