Tight when blinds low , and very LAG when my stack less 20bb can steal or shove with light range...

Hard play vs LAG , because it is difficult to define the range of hands when he is bluffing or bet for value...

I love playing against Loose Passive players and surely everybody does! i love playing against rocks/nits as you know when they have it so you can look to make 2 pair or better to stack them and you can steal their blinds a whole bunch!

Playing against a LAG on your left can be a nightmare!

I'd love to say that I take what the table gives me. Honestly in a tourney I tend to be tight and aggressive in position early, pretty tight in middle stages, and very aggressive short handed.

cheers!

Totally hate to play against loose aggressive players. They raise all the time so you have no idea whether they have a hand or just playing around. Against other players I can manage much better.

To me, the biggest factor in play is not the OPs "style". Tight, loose, aggressive or passive, the biggest factor is paying attention to their betting activity. How much do they open for with certain hands. If they are good, they'll have a very consistent open, such as 2 or 3 bb or maybe just betting the pot each time they open raise. Then, as the board progresses, do they have consistent bet sizes for different boards, or do they vary their bets based on perceived strength of either their hand or their OP. In addition to this, how apt are they to call a raise or even a re-raise with a second or third best to the board. Are they so loose and agro that they'll play their marginal hands like the nuts? This gives me the information I need to either call them down at times, or simply play back at their aggressiveness if I have what I consider the best hand.

Yes, player styles is important, but it's very basic So I would have to say, my least favorite player to play against would be the perceived loose agro that doesn't fold often to pressure. My most favorite is the loose agro who knows when to fold to pressure. The former will often end up showing you the best hand, where the latter, if they don't fold, may just end up showing you exactly what you expected.

Step outside of your comfort zone every once in a while against these types of players. Put in a third or even a fourth bet against them. Let them hang themselves, in essence. Don't do it consistently, because you don't want them to suddenly tighten up, then play their agro style with a nut hand. But just enough to keep them honest, and maybe rake a pot or two you might have folded on.

I think i tend to switch my playing styles to quickly and people catch on to that for some reason. I dunno if im just playing way to aggressively at times which i like to do. I dab in the lag tag aspect all the time.

Switching up your style of play is a good way to deceive your OP, unless your doing it based on your hand strength. If you play more aggressive with stronger holdings than you do with the weaker ones, then your an open book. You need to make sure your bets and raises aren't exposing your holding. You should bluff sometimes, but do so with some caution and with pot control in mind. What I mean is this. If you feel you might be able to bluff someone off a marginal or even a strong hand due to his reluctance to bet a wet board, then take advantage of that. Put your OP to the test in these situations, and sometimes you might get caught, but most of the time they'll fold. If you're bluffing a somewhat dry board, and your sure by the river your OP isn't going to fold to anything, but will probably check the river, than do just that, check the river. Yes, you're going to get caught bluffing, but the EV of the bluff is what you need to think about, not losing a pot or having your bluff fail. You're setting up future situations where you will have the best hand, and they might just call you down on that last bet with a marginal one. Heck, they could do it several times actually, because your bluff has given you the image of a LAG, and maybe a wild one at that.

Aggression is not a bad thing in poker, at any level. Yes, it may get you in trouble sometimes at the lower limits as these players may be inclined to call because they can afford it; but don't give up on being aggressive just because some players are rocks. Just try to avoid playing these types of guys with marginal hands or bluffs. Find the passive players that will fold to some pressure, and use your aggression to your advantage. Then, when you have that strong hand, and your in a pot with the rock, you can hammer him to little pebbles. It'll be fun.

This in general is my style too. Of course there are exceptions, for instance when we are ITM (or at the final table) and other people are playing just loose-maniac and getting busted quickly. I rather take somewhat certain 2nd-3rd place and a shot to win with small stack than risk busting 8th or 9th.

But in general tight at the beginning, LAG as blinds and antes get heavy. With this you also usually get some nice pots when you "change your gears".

I personally play MY style and try not to worry too much about the opponents style, although it is good to try and understand your opponents style. I dont think it is necessary to adjust too much otherwise you are playing into their hands - so to speak. As has been said on here a few times the most difficult style to play against is LAG, which tells me thats how we should play? Do others agree? Gl to you all......... :D :D :D
