Slowly getting a better grasp at the game, I'm decent at the FL but when the table happens to dwindle down between 6 to HU it's haed to adjust my range and I experience lots of loss. I'm trying to manage the little cash I've made from free rolls and trying to slowly build it.

Help?

If you've learned to adjust your range depending on your position at a full table, a simple albeit imperfect way to start adjusting is by imagining you're at a full table where the first X players have folded.

So for example, say you're 5-handed and you're first to act pre-. Imagine you're at a full table where the first 4 seats have folded.

last night I finaled a table finished 5th when got to final table was only guy without 100k chips I was patient cause card dead big time for like over an hour lol. I mean couldnt really play but it paid off made me about 50 cents more I believe.

So short handed like everything else be patient let the game come to you. I had a chance at end took a bad beat or two but got to third in final five at one point. It happens. I had a lot of fun even though wasnt getting the cards:) So advice is patient even when blinds are big and you feel lost or out of it:)

I have played a lot in 6 person tables and the game is very different compared to full table. Because you are SB or BB 33% of the time compared to 20% of the time, you are in a lot more hands. People at these short handed tables play a lot wider range of hands, where I've found that many people at Full table will only play premium hands.
In tournaments, blinds towards the end of the tournament become a huge part of the game. When you get down to the last 5 or 6 players, stealing a few blinds becomes very important. If you wait until you get premium pocket cards, then you will get "blinded out". My strategy is to wait until I have position and try to steal blinds with good hands (not premium) and then try to win some hands against others who are trying to steal my blinds.
