Welcome to cardschat,
I think you should start off trying out some of the private freerolls that exist on Full tilt, they offer a bit more paid places so it's much easier to cash than the 150$ freerolls.
When you eventually cash, take a while to chose which game you think suits you the best, (Either Cash game or Sit and goes. You can play some MTTs but keep them to a minimum (none at all being the best option) while your
bankroll is still small).
Once you have chosen the game you would like to learn, then search the web for some information on that game : videos, forum threads, books, .... (There is stuff for any level, look for beginner material at first, then add more and more info as you get better). Never stop learning
Some great info here ( :

I would also recommend you install Holdem manager (or pokertracker), and start having a look at the
hands you have played (save your hand histories on all the sites you play at). Have a look at your stats too see if you are playing the way that is recommended by whatever information you have read. If you're really not sure about certain hands, you can post them in the hand analysis section of the forum, and get some feedback from more experienced players.
If you have any other questions then don't hesitate and ask the forum.
Hope this helped
