It depends on the freeroll, but sometimes LAG is a better playing style at the start. The reason for this is the players at the start of a freeroll are likely to have very wide ranges. Therefore, waiting for AA doesn't make much sense if AT is good in the same spot or has the same chance of getting sucked out on. If you accept that you could go out at the start regardless, then perhaps getting it in with any slight edge early is ideal to build the chip lead.
Later in the tourney TAG makes more sense as the slightly better players will be waiting to pick you off but again only to a certain extent depending on blind and ante structure and how better opponents respond to your tight table image. E.g. If you were playing TAG against a donk/fish/whale early on, there would be no point in
bluffing him, but playing TAG towards the later stages against better players, you may find you get too much respect. Therefore, mixing it up a bit is essential for max. value once you understand what is going on.
But to answer the original question, if you have AA and an opponent is calling you with a deuce, you need to bet more for value on earlier streets, especially pre. Actually, if they are calling you every time with a deuce you need to bet a lot more for value pre and with any hand, especially if you can't make a read to get away on a later street. Contrary to popular belief, you do want to get sucked out on. The worse the suckout the better you played. Sometimes I can see wanting to protect tourney life as a reason for wanting to play smaller pots but not early on pre-flop in a freeroll because you will only be getting it in with worse spots there later on.
