Playing Cash

I was at my local Casino the other night and bought in for $200 (the max) at the $2/3 NL table got $200 up and decided to leave as my rule is double up and out.

Does anyone have a rule about playing cash and the profit you make or is it go for as much as you can?

When I play online, I usually play with about 5% of my bankroll and when I double up I usually leave because I don't want to risk 10% bankroll.
But it depends on the table. If I see that I'm up agaisnt tough copetition I might exit earlier and vice versa with fish.

I have no rule on if I am up so much I leave. I usually sit down online knowning I have X amount to time to play and stop at that point.

Depending on your duration of playing in that session I would have prob stayed in with the a double up. Im guessing you prob had a very solid table image and that could be a big plus. It really depends on how you felt. If you doubled up in 30mins you were prob still fresh but if it took you 12 hours to double up, its prob time to hit a buffet.

I like playing with a big stack on ring tables.

1) It allows to you win the maximum in any hand if you cover everyone at the table.

2) It sometimes allows you to steal more blinds, because some people don't like playing with someone who has obviously been doing well.

In some cases where I've been barely rolled for a limit, I'll bail as soon as I've doubled up to try and limit variance. But, usually I'll stay on a table until it becomes unprofitable.

I play depending upon the table. If I'm up 4x my buyin in 1/2 hour then I am staying for a while. If I can't do anything in an hour then I am looking for a new table.
