Hello guys!

I have a question kind of for beginers :)
How to play according to your bankroll? When it's good to level-up, when not & similar things around this topic.

Some percentages would help :)

Thanks!

theoretically bankroll management is the" rule of 100 buy ins" to play those limits that you have at least 100 buy ins. and will get pleasure from the game

Hey, thanks for the link and the comments, guys. It was helpful, but, pfff, 1% for starters it's really a hard work :)

if your a good player, you can get away with 5%, or 20 buy ins. And do not level up until you have 20 buy ins for that level.

20 buy ins wouldn't be much for tournaments

Jesus says never play a game or tourney with more than 10% of your bankroll.

A kind of general consensus answer that I've found:

NL Cash: 20-40 BI
Limit Cash: 300-500 big bets
SnG: 60 BI
MTT: 100 BI

Bankroll ought to be 100x largest bet, buy in. $50 5k $100 bankroll = $1 buy in

If you can not cash in 1 of 20 tournaments, you are playing the wrong type, or the wrong game altogether

I think psychology plays a big role here.. Sure, maybe going 20 tournaments w/o a cash is not very likely, but how well will you play if you go 5 w/o a cash? That would be a quarter of your bankroll gone.

Yes, and this is just another factor that makes someone a decent player. I myself, tend to play the same no matter what my current session results may be, however I have been known to go a little mad at 100 PLO after dropping a few buy ins.

If you are a newer player, or just not that good, then yes you must adjust for this in your bankroll.

But, again, if you are playing MTTS, you only need to cash in 1 of 20 (not minimum cash) to make your money back and way beyond. If we are talking SNG's, well if you are not cashing in 1 of 5 then you need to play something else because its a losing game for you.(technically you should be cashing in 1 of 4 sngs to actually profit)
