Thanks in advance

From what I have heard, they are all very overrated, play the suited ones and you can fold most of the time if you don't get a flush draw or trips

Early position fold them. Raise with them in late position if first to act.

In tournament play, those hands aren't worth much at a full table especially in early position. 3-handed or heads up, any hand with an ace is good stuff because odds are slim that the other player(s) will also have an ace, being that there are only 4 of them in the entire deck.

Overplaying a weak ace, hitting the board, and getting outkicked in the end cost me quite a few chips until I realized that these hands aren't that great after all.

them are generally cards that can easily get you into lots of trouble if counting on the ace.
I usually fold them most of the time bercause rarely can I open in position with them.
Very seldom can I get pot odds to call down with them in any situation.
But as mentioned before it just depends on your image, position, stack size, lots of different things if you want to play them and how to play them.
But mostley fold would be my option.

trouble hands.....

if you hit an Ace, you kicker sucks
if you pair your kicker over cards here.
if you hit two pair, ...seldom 2% chance to flop two pair
if you want to hit full house....you need to pay a lot of chips first..

just through them away, for the sake of saving ur chips.

i am not a good player, I do think good player have their way to play these kind of trouble , marginal hands very well.

If you play 6 max A9 would be perfectly fine to play in late position.

Suited Aces can be raised from any position, but don't assume top pair will be any good in a tight game. In a loose game though, any top pair is very frequently good plus you have 3 outs to improve to a better hand (and a few more to chop) when it isn't. That's very read dependent though, so don't start bombing flops with kickerless Aces unless you're sure Villain is capable of having a worse Ace or second pair.

Any Ace plays well as bluffing hand also, because it blocks a certain amount of strong hands out there. If you have A6, then there are 27 combos of AQ+/AA rather than 38, which gives your 4bets significant fold equity. Just remember that when Villain plays at you you're frequently beat and should give up.

Good advice

Imho you would be better served tossing the ace rag and using the chips you saved playing 7-8 or 8-9.

Only play in late position if nobody else has opened. Raise with em in late position. Suited makes it easier but you have to be careful cause ace rag is a troublesome hand.

Players commonly play this out of position then bet when they hit A only to get shown a bigger kicker in showdown.

I agree with that. Especially in tournaments opening with position.
