Need advice about playing 3-4 suited in late position. I keep having mixed feelings about it. Sometimes the opportunity presents itself and I play it. Other times I don't and regret it. I have about 30% luck with it overall. Is there something I could do to possibly improve that percentage? Just need some opinions/advice. Thanks!!

I only play them in certain situations. They have great implied odds when in multi-way pots but I don't like risking a large bet pre-flop. You can increase their winning percentage slighty by bluffing (or semi-bluffing) with them if the table is right. If the flop misses you then don't bleed chips with them hoping for a turned set or 2 pair.

Obviously, you can't be too wrong just folding it. I like to raise with it against very tight blinds, as a steal. I really like it against my tight passive foes. The ones who will fold almost everything, and who will just call if they defend at all. I just had a hand this last week at 25nl where I opened 43s from the btn, got min-raised by the sb, called (we were both 160xbb deep) and flopped the wheel while he hit a set of aces. So, I might be a little too in love with this exact hand, at this moment. ;-)

Me personally, I never play it unless it's my big blind and no one raises or I've decided to bluff and I'm feeling frisky. I'm a tighter player than average though. J10 suited is about the lowest I like to play unless it's on my big blind or small blind.

I get no respect. When I move all-in, people from other tables call.

Ha ! Good one vinnie. I heard that in Rodney Dangerfields voice.

" I get no respect at all - When I was a kid, I lost my parents at the beach. I asked a lifeguard to help me find them. He said "I don't know kid, there are so many places they could hide".

LOL, thanks. That is what I intend for people to think of. I came up with this signature a couple years ago.

We used to have a weekly tournament, at this guy's house. It usually had 20-30 guys playing in it. It was a great game. Anyway, one night I was playing at one table and my step-brother was on the other table. I raised pre-flop and shoved the flop (with TT on a J-high flop -- it was a very fast blind structure). As soon as I announce, "All-in." I hear a quick call.

I figured I was screwed, until I realized it had come from behind me and in my step-brother's voice. I turn around and he's sitting in his chair, not in a hand at his table, and trying to see what the board was on our table. The other guy ended up calling (with A-K), because of how sick I looked when I thought he called, and I held up to win.

About 20 minutes later, one player raised pre-flop and 4 people called behind him. He loudly complains, "how much do I need to raise to get people to respect my raises here?"

I put on my best Rodney Dangerfield voice, "You think you get no respect? I get no respect. When I move all-in, people from the other table call."

Ever since that time, I've always thought about that when I hear people complain about bets and raises not being respected enough at their limit.:D
