Aggression may not help the player if he does not have a good combination or some kind of coincidence if you play aggressively on a bad card and the player who plays against you has a good card then you will fly out of the tournament or lose money in the cash game, but you need to play aggressively for such moments you need very good cards for the game or that you have a good combination, but you can sometimes bluff but do it carefully!

I think, first of all, the player should be patient, waiting for a good occasion. Sometimes you need to play aggressively, but it depends more on your position at the table and on your opponents.

every player has his type of game, you do not necessarily have to be aggressive to make a profit, this is just a means of earning profits in poker, plus there are several other types of play that in the long run get you behind security, and profits. repense this concept friend

Overall I've heard that the reason that "aggressive" poker is "winning" poker, is that if you play passively then the only way you can win the hand is at Showdown if you have a better hand than your opponent. If you play aggressively however, you can win the hand at OR before Showdown, when your opponent folds

be aggressive! be be aggressive! or not?

In my personal experience there are 2 types of aggression. You have tight aggressive and loose aggressive. Its true you almost always want to be aggressive but the key is using the right kind of aggressive at the right time. Your first goal should be knowing the playing style of the table and the players. If the table/player is playing tight then you would want to be loose. if the table/player is loose then you want to be tighter. The best general strategy is to start out tight aggressive and once you progress into the game you can decide if you need to be looser. You don't want to just jump into loose aggressive because the key to being an effective loose aggressive player is knowing your opponents and taking advantage of their weak moments (which you cant do if you don't know how they play). If you start out tight aggressive it gives you a chance to scout the table and it creates a better image for you so down the road your bluff looks more believable.

to sum it up the best general strategy is......

1. Start out playing tight aggressive (click link below to learn more)
https://www.cardschat.com/tight-aggressive-poker.php

2. Learn how the players and tables play
3. Adjust your strategy to narrow in on the weakness of the table/players

very often a passive game can be due to playing on big (not corresponding to your bankroll) limits or because the player has little experience !!! in any case, I wish you to be more confident in yourself and good luck !!!

I believe that at this moment of poker we are living where variance is killing us, aggressiveness is a good factor ... so that we can maintain the line of play and at the same time we can get the most out of good hands

I believe, that the only way to win anything in online poker is to be aggressive. If you have a chance for a good bluff or a steal, sure you need to do it. If you will play too passive, another players for sure will raise you and you will loose your chips.

I think you should adapt your game based on your opponents and the table. You can't play only with one play style in different speed tournaments for example. You can't open raise in a hyper so much as in a slow structured and deep stacked tourney.

But compared between aggression and passiveness then yes I have to admit that is way more profitable to be aggressive.

This is true, I also noticed this. My issue is when Im going through a time that I get garbage. Even worse is when I get good cards (AK, KQ) but they never go anywhere. But, when I can I try to be aggressive. You are right.

I agree is important to be aggressive but its more important to know when not to, because that way you dont end up loosing a big pot by over committing.

Stu Unger’s Very Aggressive Style

Maybe this will help:

Stu Unger’s Style (arguably, the best “card” player, ever)
---Very, very aggressive. Raised a lot.
---Played more marginal hands.
---Kept changing his style. Very tight to very loose.
---Continually made adjustments.
---Overly, almost recklessly, aggressive.
---Made great lay downs.
---Most of the time, moved all-in with top pair.
---Frequently lost when he ran into a great hand.
---Had the ability to remember player styles, hands, games, and actions.
---Had his own math method.
---Hated the opposition with a passion.
---Took the game very personally.
---Put people on tilt.
---Played angrily.
---Played Mano a Mano poker.
---Was ****y and smug.
---Had no morals, no ethics.
---Addicted to drugs, alcohol, whores, hustlers, and gambling.
---Supremely confident, cool, and flashy.
---Craved action.

Players should know HOW to be aggressive. After all these years I am still figuring out how to be more aggressive. It is not as straight forward as it appears.

I would separate the aggressiveness into two that are:
Conscious Aggressiveness
: In this you move only using the memory of all the games you played this is: using the trends in those certain situations that presents itself - based on the math of the game - can also use the trends of the opponent which is all that is observed in the opponent using the memory - perfect is when you can use it all.
unconscious aggression is the opposite of everything - because you are unconscious, it is just moving and you do not know why.
So in summary, you may be aggressive, but always aware of why, preferably the whys. Good luck
In my opinion the best way to play is aggressively.

Any active action must have a basis. Even bluffing. Otherwise, then you will be exploited if you do not grammatically apply these tactics and reception.

I have found at the micros that most players are either lose passive preflop and play fit or fold post flop (these would be the ones I think you are referring to) OR they are lose passive preflop and then calling stations post flop. It's very important for me to find out who is who as soon as possible when I sit down at a table, so you know who you can bluff and who you need to value bet

Aggressive play on loose hands some time cost you more in online games. bluffing all the time might not a good idea against newbie. I am still learning but many aggressive players lost big when I get some decent board.

Aggressive Raise or Fold Approach

The Aggressive Raise or Fold Approach
---I you are going to play the hand, never just call before the flop, except in the blinds if
there are just callers in the pot. Almost always raise.
---Whenever you are the first to act, raise or fold.
---If you are going to play the hand, almost always raise if someone just calls before you.
---If you are going to play the hand, re-raise if someone raises before you.
---If someone has just called before you, raise to make the player either give up his weak
hand or play it for a bigger pot.
