That's my assumption as to what he is trying to say but I couldn't help my previous post because well his just doesn't read well enough to really get what he is trying to say. Other than maybe someone beat him with 22 or he has to fold it because of people raising etc.

I don't know what it is about online poker, but I've hit trips with pocket twos more times, than any other pocket pair. When I play them, I try to get in as cheap as possible, and have the pot odds to make the draw.

I trying to make myself to fold any small pocket pair from early position but it is so hard, when i hit a set only thing im afraid is flush or straight, as Phil Gordon said the chances that someone will have a higher set when you have a set are so slim that even you get busto by a higher set it is still profitable long term... Of course that doesn't imply with playing them with 3 same suit on flop or 4 same suit on turn or similar draw heavy board...

I usually limp with them or fold them if Im facing a big bet pre-flop. Chances for hitting a set is the same as with aces kings and so on, but the difference is that if you make a raise people tend to put you on a big hands, rather than pocket 2s and they think they have you beaten with a pair of aces.
If nobody raises,, or he raises small, its worth to get into the pot, but when the numbers are too high you might want to skip that.

It depends. If its cheap then play it. I hardly make set on the flop in my experience. Mostly flops are higher than 2. Its dangerous playing since even you get set, your opponent might have higher set and will eventually make you broke. 80 percent, im losing with ducks.

You have made the common mistake I made until Alfie pointed it out that 3 of a kind with 2 in your hand is a set and 3 of a kind with 2 on the flop is known as trips. I thought sets and trips meant the same thing lol
