Is there such thing? Whenever I have a winning session where I never once placed my money into the pot from being behind, I feel like I played the best and perfect poker.

Yesterday and today, I'm up total of 4 buy-ins. Never once, I put my money in when I'm behind. So, I went through my hands that were involved in post-flops. There was not a single pot where I was behind until future street. I look at pre-flop, all my 3-bets and 4-bets were called by inferior hands and I won nearly every showdowns. One hand, I have QQ, controlled the pot against someone with KK, and lost only 12bb. It just felt like I played perfect. But of course, this is just based on over 2k hands.

Is there such thing or did I just ran great that my hands held up? I'm hoping it goes like this for next 7 days until take 2 promotion is over.

Sorry for this stupid question. It's been a while since I came back to cash games to take a long rest. I should be knowing this better but when everything goes according to the way I expect, it just feels perfect for some reason.

I feel very lucky when my good hands hold up. I fully expect to lose some of those showdowns -- often on the river. But if i win more than I lose, it's a good session.

Enjoy the heater.

If you never put your money in behind you probably weren't playing that well.

You just made me realize that I should look at my hands of my lost pots or folds. I also just realized that I never bluffed once during past 2 days. I think I'll conclude that I'm on a good run and board is really coordinating with my hole cards. Stupid question resolved. It just felt perfect for the moment because everything went the way I expected.

Yeah, we've all been there. Sometimes the deck just hits you in the face and we think we're better than we really are. It's just variance, same as a bad run.

As long as you can recognize it for what it is, enjoy the heater and play all you can.

Keep up the good work. But i have to tell you: even the best players in the world make mistakes, there´s no perfection in poker - the game is too complex. You always can improve, the game of poker will never come close to beeing perfected. Winning pots and making the right plays are also two different things ...

When you get all the money in, and your ahead, and you do this time after time, it means youre playing way to tight.

Im not saying not to do this.

Im saying i played that way for years, with good results, but i could be bluffed too easly, never floated, and generally played a classic long ball strategy.

Let me repeat i had good results, but i dont think it was perfect poker. It may be optimal at times to play this way, but not perfect.

Perfect poker = always doing what(call, fold, raise, reraise, all in) you would do, if your opps hand was face up.

and no ones good enough to not raise AK cause he feels like KK are behind him, well except for POTRIPPER.
