It seems that patience helps in poker to a certain extent, but when your card dead and the blinds is basically eating at your stack what would yo recommend because playing donk or more aggressive than you usually would play hurts if your not hitting

It depends.

SUX to run card dead. Still, you need to realize that conceding blinds costs you a helluvalot less than a badly played hand.

It also depends on who you're playing against. Are they the least bit astute, or are they just playing group Solitaire in their own little bubbles? If they are, then there's really nothing you can do other than keep folding the garbage.

If they are astute and observant, then you have an opportunity to make a play. If you've folded out three or four orbits and they're suspecting you're a nit, open raise the next time with ATC. Your fold equity is now looking pretty good. Even if you get called, c-bet.

Of course, you'll give it up if you get 3-bet, or your opponent comes over the top and all you have is air. You'll still keep 'em wondering about what you had. Works even better of it goes c/c, c/c to the river and you get to show. Better still if you win with something like a second pair, or a rivered pair. Best of all is flopping a long shot monster. Nothing gets rid of a nitty image faster than that.

There are just 1326 Hold 'Em hands, and there are times when you'll run so card dead you'll swear you've seen every possible garbage hand. It happens. Rather than whine about it and curse the Poker Gods, keep your eyes open for opportunities.

Then, after a long card dead session, remember to spend more time rubbing your Luck Box. ;)

Patience allows us to play only those cards that we consider appropriate in favorable situations , is why having patience is an important virtue for the poker player.

Basically you have to learn how to steal more when the blinds get higher as you won't always get the hands you want with time running out... Learning WHO to steal from is a different matter altogether... google "how to play hands when 'card dead' " you should find some good strategies out there... Like Dorugremon stated you have to be observant of the other players...

Patience is a key weapon in the poker player , but knowing how to play each hand where we decide to enter is what we will stop off in terms of chips us to bring us to that boat ..

Patience is necessary specially to avoid tilts when you’re in a bad day with your hands. After receiving a almost infinite sequence of garbage cards, is very dificult you don’t consider K9 a really good hand and make a big mistake.

You are right. Just trying to make something happen won't work while you are card dead. Very little goes right during those times. For me I would rather shoot at the blinds when I can and blind out than just give up and lose them with a crap hand. It has been my experience that if you just hold on, you are likely to catch a good hand and double up. GL to you

Patience: base for poker, I think.
You need to stay observing and wait the better spot to get action and be paid for it.
Poker teach it for me, I was like tnt. Whatever that happened out my plan, BOOM: TILT.
Today I'm more controlled.

Start looking for opportunities to steal. If you have been patient that long and not playing many hands, you will likely have some respect when you play at a pot. Find a good spot against the right opponent to score some chips. All that time you have been waiting should have given you the chance to see which players will tend to roll over for you.

If I am card dead and low in blinds I always look to shove the weak aces in late positions...

Patience is importance in poker but it is meaningless if you dont have the knowledge and know when to act.

If it occurs seldom it means that is just not your tournament (unlucky sequence of hands). Relax and ready to shove when bank is big enough relatively your stack. If it occurs often - it's not your format or your play is rather bad, may too tight.

I disagree, u need patience in all stages of a tourney in order to win it.
I lose most of the times when i lose patience.

When your stack is below average, about playing the flop is already not talking. We need to put all his chips with pocket worthy hand. And with every loss of your stack you need to expand the range of hands for allin.
And patience will come to you after victories.

I always lose my patience and start calling with bad hands when I get a lot of crap hands in a row. I really have to change that.

Patience at the start

At the beginning of the tourney it is important to be patient, especially out of position. You will be folding often with marginal hands so wait more until you have at least something to bet on in position or a monster hand out of position. You may need to hold on to your stack until you get a feel for who is betting behind you.

Dealing with boredom

If you wanna play poker properly you’ll find that you go through long stretches of sheer boredom waiting for good cards. Many people often don’t have the patience to wait, so they play hands that they know they shouldn’t out of sheer boredom. Practice concentration, listen to music or use that time to study your opponents!!!
