An advice I give . It is to have patience in their hands. because many times make desperate choices . We lose hands so much patience and intelligence. to achieve the highest on the podium. Thanks greetings :)

Yes i do agree patience is key when playing poker, but making good choices i think is even better then patience, we always loose by making bad decisions, patience is good for premium hands, that increase your chance of doubling up, but u have to know how to play them, or what i say to make the right choice, u push hard u might loose the guy, he folds and no double up :D so i say good choices, and always always ask WHY, i can not stress how much is that important :D

Patience and persistence...two strong keys to becoming a good poker player. The minute I find myself leaning towards bad plays because I'm bored or getting impatient is the minute I try to take a break.

While patience does take up a big part of winning in poker, it's not always patience that will grant you the win - sometimes, you need skill to use the patience, too. Sometimes luck.

indeed patience is the key.
I often lose my patience when I lost some of my chips in a bad flop.

PATIENCE

In my opinion Patience is a key fator for beginners, like me, because I want to see results in a short medium term.
Na example is when you play AA and lost for any two cards. A rookie don't aceppt this as statistics, otherwise unlucky

Patience for what?

Aggression is the key for me. When I stop being aggressive I lose.

Something that is happening to me almost every MTT game I play is that I manage to get in a very nice and comfortable position, like top ten in a 500 players tournament, but then I just lose some hands by defending some raises when I'am on small or big blind position, generally bad beats, and I start to lose it, I mean, start to tilt after a while.

Some guys says that it's better sometimes to take a break and even leave the game for a while if the blinds are low and your stack won't be bleeding that much by losing them, but I just can't do it, basically because there will be times that I'll have monster hands and it would be really kind of dumb to let a hand like AA just go away because you are sitting out.

Anyway, I'm really depressed because it happens all the time. I was in such a good place at one of those weekly chromestars freeroll on pokerstars and lost it all by calling an all-in with AA vs. 88. If i hadn't played that hand I would win a considerable amount of money, it always hit me like a rock when that happens.

Hello,
my opinion agrees with you in some points. I think i dont have enough patience sometimes. I dont know, probably im distracted by some things happen on the table. Sometimes its possible to supress those feelings and get over the mad/angry/bad moods, and play my cards soberminded.
I think not all players have the patience, but its not a problem its nice to learn how to be patient. Im agreed, thats a very usefull skill in alot of situations, but the moment that you will risk all you have will come soon or later, in this cases the patience could trick you.

One thing I learned about patience in poker is about the bad beat ... analyzing my tournaments and saw that bads this balanced, the problem is the mind of the human being, it always records the cons, as are those that most affect the gameplay ...
