I play 6max exclusively. Recently went to all open raise strategy. No open limping. 27/9.5/3.2. The big talk when I read and listened to podcasts is that limping is weak, thus losing strategy. I have a few issues that are pressing me and would like your insight.

I like the change overall and felt at control at the table with the added agression. But l used to win tons of small pots on button and cutoff by passive blind stealing. (Open limp or single limp - call in position with any 2 and steal the pot on the flop when everyone whiffs.) Although counterintuitive as a steal per se, it even reaped benefits from loose players that would defend their blinds preflop to a raise. This maneuver along with normal dealer/cutoff raises held the added benefit of making me appear looser than i am in reality, thus getting me calls when i am strong. A powerful piece of my past arsenal omitted for prosperity.

I feel that I have lost a lucrative member of my team. Yet I can't merely incorporate limps in button/cutoff in an all raise strategy or it would quickly become transparent to the victims to left. I would need to add limps to earlier positions to make it even out, but then I destroy the whole only open with a raise philosophy.

Please help. My whole style of play is a stake. [emoji2]

You still win many small pots when blinds fold. Those times when you get called and CB you again win small pots if they fold. Agains loose ones open tighter, nits many more. I guess the diificulty lies that you have to learn the game again, difficult at first.

I think an all raise strategy in 6 max when opening is the way to go. If you have a good enough hand to call, you have a good enough hand to raise. You are playing short handed.

If you want to get more creative, I think you would have more profit at a full ring.
