Hi everybody,

I have been playing Texas Holde'm a lot. But nowadays I want to go on a new adventure. I want to learn a bit more about OFC and Omaha. Do you have any good propositions where I can find a place to play it for free?

Also, some more advanced tips on Omaha would be nice.

I am very new to OFC, so any information about this would be very welcome.

Maarten

OFCP I would imagine would be very difficult to find a live game although I'm sure they exist somewhere. There are some OFCP Apps. I would suggest downloading and trying some of those with your friends and also play against the computer. I personally like the pineapple version better where you get 3 cards at once. Omaha should be much easier to find. I would try to find a nearby casino that offers a small Omaha tournaments and play that way. There are also many training sites that help you Learn Omaha. The key to learning any game is hours put in playing it. Good Luck!!!!!

the only place I have ever heard of OFC being spread live is at the wsop, but perhaps a Cali casino or card room runs it, maybe Foxwoods - its a very low rake game so they dont spread it in very many places

there are many apps that will allow you to play for free. PINEAPPLE POKER is a great one, follows all the real rules to the letter, even the correct royalty system. They have tourneys too, fun App.

as far as strategy goes for OFC, its all a numbers game, cant bluff, there is no betting, you just pay or earn for points made - you can find all of the rules online as well, just make sure they are credible and accurate (ask here and we can check the site you are getting rules from if you wish)

lots of info out there about PLO, also lots of free places to play, most poker sites will offer free games of plo, some apps out there too for portables

A lot of sites are offering Omaha. Try Tonybet for OFC games. I didn't checked them nowadays but I've played a lot in the past.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I am now playing for free on a site called gamedesire. But the fun in it is going away. I always played NLH and I will continue to do so. Mostly for fun. Maybe if I find some friends who play it more serious I will join them.

OFC is harder to master than you think. Ive been playing on and off for months. Some people are just damn good at it.

I went to the app store (iphone) and didn't see one that was named "Pineapple Poker." There is one called Pineapple! (by Pineapple Games Ltd.). Is that the one you mean. Or are you talking about an Android app?

The app I use on my phone is called "ABC open faced Chinese poker". I works well although I've had some issues playing with friends, but for computer simulated games it works great and has both variations!
