Thank you Cardschat for this amazing forum. I am enjoying the content greatly. Lots of members offering advice and not trolling me too bad lol.

Being a brand new fish for the online sharks to devour I have been spending lots of time away from the tables trting to improve my game. While there is SO much free content available to help. I am looking for a good site which is more like a school and can take me step by step on what to focus on to become a better player. I am mostly interested in microstakes online play.

I found upswingpoker and although it does sound intriguing its very expensive and I do not know if it is worth the price.

Any other suggestions?

Hi lastresort,

I know that you're a new member but if you look at the forum you will find guidelines for how CardsChat expects your posts to be viewed. We all mess up with grammar and I'm not trying to get on your case, I'm just trying to advise you as a new member.

In regards to your question I think it is your personal choice. In my opinion I would say that if you base your play off of other teachings, you don't have an edge. However, you can certainly learn a lot from what others can teach you but it is up to you to make the difference on the table and make the moves that make you money. It's a great question and welcome to the forum! This is the place to learn. There are a lot of great players here that can share valuable information.

You don't have to delete the post, you can simply edit it. You have a valid question that many people have. I wouldn't delete it, it's not like you're in trouble or something. I was just pointing out the grammar and answering your question. Cards Chat likes for our posts to have content and to be sound with grammar is all.

You can find a lot of Poker classes on YouTube. All free, watch carefully and you will learn for sure. Also you can see many tournaments with open cards, another way to increase your game. GG,
Cheers,
M.D.
