Hello,

I just poker for one year and I don't play with a program what registers which hands I play and how my opponents play, etc. Is it better to use such a program? And which program? I mean it's feels not like real poker and live can't you use this...

Noticed that you play on pokerstars,... some are allowed, some aren't. There is tracking software (I think this is what you are referring to). PokerTracker,... Poker Office

Tracking programs are helpful in better and more fully analyzing your opponnent's play. Programs such as Poker Tracker, or HEM catalog all your hand histories, saving vital stats that allow you to critically and objectively break down your own play, allowing for improvements to your game.

Further, information deemed advantageous about your opponents can be displayed on top of the tables you are playing at, allowing you to see their Vp$ip, Preflop Raise%, and Agression Factor, among other things.

The use of this information can aid in making better decisions, and that's always a good thing.

While you cannot use this software when playing live, you can still perform similar types of analyses, simply through observation and some mental math, and the principles that allow you to use tracking software to make better plays online do transfer to the felt.

Hold'Em Manager (HEM) seems to be the prefered program for most CCr's. Do a quick search here at CC and you'll find several very detailed threads on HEM.

Not sure if Poker Tracker has worked the nasty bugs out of the newest version yet.

It's either PokerTracker or Holdem Manager (without seeing the video) ... you can check them both out.

What about Poker-Edge and Poker Crusher? They look similar, the pricing structure is the same (monthly fees). Kinda pricey - $18/month for tournament coverage.

I tried the demo version of Poker-Edge and liked it, but my computer crashed after the 2nd day, so I didn't really get familiar with it.

I read a lot about poker bots being used on sites, as well as cheating programs that go undetected (by using 2 computers)... programs that even allow you to see other player's whole cards. There seems to be a lot of evidence that this is actually going on, what is Full Tilt Poker doing about it ?

Every reputable site works constantly to prevent collusion and other forms of cheating. They catch people, confiscate their account and bann them permanatly. Some of the site also share info (IP addy's) on cheaters with each other too. Should you encounter anyone cheating you need to report it to the site ASAP.

Ever notice how often you get software upgrades? That's all to stop cheaters/scammers.
