Do you keep notes when you play online? I try to, but sometimes I find myself trying to record way too much detail, and I run out of room to type my notes. When I start doing this I feel that I am missing some vital information because of how absorbed I am in taking, "Thorough Notes." What type of notes do you take? Do you color code your notes? Do they help you?

What in particular do you note about them though? I tend to get a blanket general note about a player, like if the are loose passive, loose aggressive, tight passive, or tight aggressive. I start the note as either aggressive player, or passive player. I give them the first label as soon as I see how they play their first hand, either limp or raise, passive or aggressive. I wait until I get a feel for how many hands they play before I label them loose or tight. Every single hand that is played after I label them I see if it fits how I originally saw them play, and how I originally labeled them. I make adjustments as needed.

What do you do to, "destroy them" wrabinho?

I don't take a lot of notes anymore, mainly because I use a HUD, which covers most aspects of a player. However, sometimes a player (usually a fish) plays so strangely that I take a note of them anyway. For example, a few days ago I took a note of a player "shoves with 86o". This is an important note, because when I encounter the same player again, and they shove again, then I will likely call bullshit on their shove and call with a wider range than usual. Another example is of a player (not really a fish) that was calling my bets (I had initiative and position on them) and suddenly bet the full pot on the river with a possible made straight. So I took a note of that as well: "Donks with a straight and bets the full pot".

I make notes about opponents on pokerstars, which I mark with one color. In the notes I indicate the style of the opponent's game, the opponent's actions after the all streets, frequent bluff, theft of blinds, calling station - the main thing that the notes were simple and understandable.

notes are good to keep on ppl you will likely be playing against again -I like to keep my notes very abbreviated since you wont have much time to decipher what you wrote-keeping notes while your not in a hand will also help you keep mentaly in the game
