I think if you love the game and feel your playing good poker your luck will change. I few weeks back I was in the same position not winning at all and I felt like I was playing good poker so I stuck at it and had a great 2 weeks turning $40 into $800 through some tournament games. Lady luck fell me way!
Stick at it, but you feel like your on tilt then walk away for a while I did this a year ago and only just started playing for money again.

There are a couple of ways I deal with being tired of or frustrated with poker. I may take a break from playing for a few days, and refocus my energy on studying instead (which includes reading books and articles, watching training videos, going over hand histories, and fiddling with PT3). Sometimes, I don't completely avoid playing, but switch from my main game to one of the lesser played variants of poker (e.g. Stud 8, O8, etc.). Finding different ways of engaging in poker, and occasionally mixing up my routine, keeps the game interesting for me.

It also helps to candidly evaluate how you've been playing. How much of your losses can really be blamed solely on "run bad", and how much of it was due to bad play? Maybe you played immaculately and every single big pot you lost was unquestionably a cooler, or maybe there were spots where you didn't play optimally and lost more than you should have. If you post some hand histories, you may be able to gain some fresh perspective on your play.

SYWTWAF made some very good points.

I dont know how much you review, but this can be quite an eye opener if you dont do it much.

I am a musician and have had a studio over 20 years now. I am still amazed at people who do recordings where they think they sang or played really good (they say "that was THE take" lol) and when I play it back for them they cringe................

Reviewing your games can be like this - and often is. You think "I played that well" and when you review, you CRINGE...... "I called there?" "I folded to him on that flop?" "I raised there, really???" "How could I limp there with that" and so on. I review often now, and am finding places in ALMOST EVERY GAME where in retrospect I believe I made the wrong play. Game review cannot be over emphasized.

And a lot of the time you DID make the right play, and got coolered. Combine that with normal variance and your unseen leaks, and you can have some pretty devastating "run bads"

You haven't stated what games you are playing but building 20 to 70 in a week playing micros is good and you probably ran hot to be honest and now varience is catching up. You can't really expect to be turning that 70 into 140 or whatever and expecting big returns playing micros. Even if you're playing headsup SnG's that still a good amount to build up from and the varience in HU is the worse of the kind.

If it's cash games 2nl you are playing then again, this is still good progress you're making. It's very standard if you are playing many hours a day to suffer a ton of bad beats along the way no matter how well you're playing. Just keep grinding and look longterm, you're still up $30.00 from micro games which again like I say, is still quite good in a week games of micros.

Varience plays a massive part in poker, just look for steady gains, even the odd dollar here and there a day is good it's like a buy-in per day. Sounds like you won around 25 buy-ins at 2nl or whatever amount it will be for headsup!

I woulden't worry, I really woulden't. . Keep track of your results and if you're getting your money in good and being sucked out that's also fine even if it makes you feel negative you just have to remember you're getting it in god and you can't control the cards that come out.

^^^^

That there is the best sort of situation you could ask for, someone shoving on you when you're a favorite. I would take all my BR spread on several tables and have this happen everytime, you would massively be in profit. Keep grinding and try to remain positive even if it's hard sometimes we know it can be.

hi

Try watching some poker strategy vids. If you're playing well but running bad, at least watching the videos will help to affirm you are playing well or maybe you will spot some leaks in your game. Try not to think about your bankroll and instead just try to concentrate on making the best decisions you can.
Posting some hand histories might help also.;)
